Maverick County Daily Reports-July 31, 2017

Public Intoxication-Deputies on patrol made contact with two male subjects after receving reports of suspicious activity in the area. Contact was made with the subjects, identified as Adalberto Baca and Javier Garza, who displayed signs of intoxication. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. While on the 1000 block of Progresso, a deputy came into contact with an item previously reported as stolen earlier that evening. The item was recovered and taken to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office.

Wanted Person-Jaime Jimenez was taken into custody this morning after a traffic stop revealed an active warrant for his arrest out of Maverick County. Mr. Jimenez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Assault-A deputy met with a complainant on the 500 block of Las Brisas, who reported she was assaulted on Saturday by her boyfriend with a closed fist on her right cheek.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested a male subject identified as Mario Edmundo Martinez at the international port of entry #1 this afternoon after being detained by agents when a check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Mr. Martinez was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication/Theft-A County unit responded to the Stripes convenience store on FM1021 this afternoon where they met with an employee who reported two individuals by the location who were intoxicated. The cashier further stated the two subjects had taken several items from the store without paying for them. Contact was made with the subjects, Raul Hernandez and Eva Jimenez, who were arrested at the location and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Disorderly Conduct/Public Intoxication-Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Victoriano in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, contact was made with Mario Martinez and Gloria Jimenez, who were both highly intoxicated and were aggressive towards one another. Both were arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
