Motor Vehicle Accident/Accident involving Damage to a Vehicle-Units responded to a motor vehicle accident off of Highway 277 North and Hopedale Loop early this morning. Upon arrival, contact was made with the driver of a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, which had sustained damages to its front end. The second vehicle, a Dodge Ram had fled the scene of the accident but was located several blocks away and the driver, twenty-three year old David Montero, was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. The driver of the Cobalt refused medical attention at the time of the report.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle-Units were dispatched to Bianca Street, where a car was found in a ditch. A TCIC/NCIC check revealed it stolen out of the Eagle Pass Police Department. The vehicle was recovered and turned over to Eagle Pass PD.
Assault/Family Violence, Criminal Mischief-Deputies responded to a family violence in progress call off of the 3400 block of Del Rio Blvd. this afternoon. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim, who advised she had been physically assaulted by her husband, who in the process, struck their child. The aggressor left the area prior to a deputies' arrival.
