Maverick County Daily Reports-July 15, 2017

Public Intoxication/Resisting Arrest-A deputy responded to an aggressive male subject call in the El Indio area this morning. At approximately 3:42 AM, the unit was en route to El Indio, whereupon arrival, made contact with the subject, Cesar Ibarra Sanchez, on the 100 block East Texas Street. Mr. Sanchez displayed a strong alcoholic odor emitting from his breath and began to resist arrest when deputies attempted to take him into custody. Necessary force was used to subdue Mr. Sanchez and he was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Units responded to a motor vehicle accident off of Rosita Valley Road this morning when 2011 Chevrolet Malibu involved in a pursuit with Kickapoo Police struck a chainlink fence at Rosita Valley Elementary. Two subjects fled the vehicle in an unknown direction and the Malibu was later impounded.

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle- A complainant on the 900 block of Old Pioneer Road reported unknown subject(s) had gained entry to his residence and took several items without consent, including his 2011 Chevrolet Malibu and a Winchester rifle. The Malibu reported missing was recovered earlier at the scene of an accident by Rosita Valley Road. This case is under investigation.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Diego Alonso Delagado was placed under arrest at the United States Border Patrol checkpoint this afternoon after he was found in possession of marijuana. Mr. Delgado was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Vehicle-A complainant on the 3000 block of Alvin Cirlce reported unknown subject(s) had entered his 2016 Ford F-150 without consent and took several items, including his wallet.

Wanted Person-Victor Nambo was placed under arrest at the port of entry 1 this evening after a check revealed an active warrant. Mr. Nambo was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Hit and Run-A resident on the 200 block of Santos Circle reported an unknown vehicle had struck her 2013 Ford Fusion while it was parked outside her residence, causing damages to the right rear quarter panel area.

Driving While Intoxicated/Possession of a Dangerous Drug-A unit responded to Alamo Street this evening after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle in the area. A traffic stop conducted on a Chrysler 300 for a minor traffic infraction revealed the driver, Luis Alberto Hernandez Trevino, displayed signs of intoxication. A search of the vehicle at the time of the stop also found a container holding tramadol and acetaminophen pills. Mr. Trevino was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
