Maverick County Daily Reports-June 26, 2017

Wanted Person-Patricio Villarreal was arrested on the 300 block of Bibb Avenue early this morning after a check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Mr. Villarreal was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Habitation-A resident on the 2900 block of Lindbergh Circle reported unknown actors had gained entry to a residence through a rear window and took several items without consent.

Possession of Stolen Property/Public Intoxication-Deputies patrolling Operation Stonegarden conducted a stop on a 2004 Cadillac CTS on Balcones Blvd. this afternoon and were granted permission to search the vehicle. The search yielded the discovery of a stolen car radio and a firearm. The driver, identified as Jorge Alberto De Leon was placed under arrest for possession of the car radio and his passenger, Carlos Alvarez, was arrested on public intoxication charges. The two were transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Units responded to the intersection of US Highway 277 North and Highway 131 this evening after a 2000 Ford F-150 was found on the side of the roadway in the brush. Contact was made with the driver, who stated he had been travelling southbound on 277 when he fell asleep and veered off the roadway. EMS crews were on hand but the driver refused further medical attention.
