Maverick County Daily Reports-June 18, 2017

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle/Burglary of Building/Burglary of Habitation-Contact was made with a complaint this morning, who stated a known male subject had entered his residence and took two weapons, money, a knife, and the keys to his vehicle without consent. The vehicle, a 2014 Ford F-150, was taken and the subject had also arrived at the complainant's business location, where tires had gone missing. Several hours later, a County unit was dispatched to the intersection of Rivera Drive and US Highway 277, where he met with a male subject unloading the bed of a pickup truck matching the description of the stolen vehicle. A check was made and confirmed the vehicle was reported stolen. The subject, Anthony Raymond Sotelo, was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Joshua Contreras was placed under arrest at the international port of Entry 1 this morning after a check revealed an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Contreras was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of a Dangerous Drug-Deputies working Operation Stonegarden this afternoon conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Durango for a minor infraction. A search of the vehicle yielded the discovery of several prescription pills inside the vehicle. The driver, identified as Jorge Segura Limon, was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Assault/Family Violence-Units were dispatched to the 1600 block of Encuentro this evening after a male subject reported having been involved in a physical altercation with his son. The subject further stated he was struck below his eye by a punch. Twenty-one year old Christopher De Leon was placed under arrest at the scene and was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies arrested Dora Alicia Martinez Vasquez on DWI charges early this morning after the  Chrysler 200 she was driving was in involved in a motor vehicle accident with two stationary vehicles. Ms. Martinez, who was carrying two child passengers in her vehicle, was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
