Assault/Family Violence/Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle- Units responded to a disturbance in progress by Tesoro Loop this morning in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, deputies observed a Dodge Magnum leaving the scene and followed chase but were unable to perform a traffic stop. Moments later, the driver, later identified as Jesse Jonathan Garcia, returned to the residence and struck a County unit several times while attempted to flee the area. Mr. Garcia exited the vehicle and was placed under arrest. His wife would later state a verbal argument between the two had escalated and she had been physically assaulted. He was later transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
