Maverick County Daily Reports-June 08, 2017

Public Intoxication-A County unit patrolling US Highway 277 observed a male subject along the roadway having a difficult time keeping his balance. Contact was made with the subject, identified as Robert Antley, whom the deputy determined to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 this morning after agents had detained a male subject with an active warrant. John Wessley Ackerman was placed under arrest after the warrant, out of Brazos County, was confirmed. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Deputies made contact with City of Eagle Pass Police officers this afternoon after a male subject had been detained near the intersection of Medina and Garrison Streets. Upon arrival, it was revealed that the subject, identified as Sergio Martinez, had outstanding warrants with Maverick County and the Texas Department of Public Safety. The multiple warrants were confirmed and Mr. Martinez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Evading Arrest/Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz./Public Intoxication-Deputies patrolling Lago Vista conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Hyundai this evening after a minor traffic infraction. Upon approaching the vehicle, the driver exited and fled on foot, ensuing a short pursuit on foot. Gilbert Galindo, the subject in question, was apprehended shortly thereafter and was placed under arrest. Consent to search the vehicle was given and a clear plastic baggie containing a leafy substance was found. The substance would later test positive for marijuana. A second occupant of the vehicle, Ulysses Rodriguez, was placed under arrest under public intoxication charges. Both were transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
