Manufacturing or Delivery of Substance in Pen. Group 1/Evading Arrest or Detention-A deputy patrolling Nava Street this evening observed a male subject littering from a vehicle, prompting a traffic stop. Contact was made with the subject, who ran from the vehicle towards the rear of a residence. A brief foot chase ensued, where the subject tossed a plastic bag containing approximately 16 individual bags containing a white powdery substance which would later test positive for cocaine. The subject, identified as Roberto Gaitan, Jr. was apprehended and placed under arrest before being transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Wanted Person-Miguel Maldonado was arrested at the international port of entry 1 this evening after CBP agents detained the subject when a background check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Maldonado was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Deceased Person-Deputies responded to EMS crews by Ginebra Street, where upon arrival were informed that a ninety-one year old male subject had passed away due to apparent heart issues. A Justice of the Peace was summoned to the location, who would pronounce the male deceased.
