Maverick County Daily Reports-April 09, 2016

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested a male subject identified as Rene Esparza, Jr. after a background check revealed an open warrant. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle/DWI/Resisting Arrest/Assault on a Public Servant/Interference with Public Duties-A County unit on patrol this morning attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze who disregarded a stop sign on Las Quintas Blvd. A short pursuit ensued before the vehicle came to a stop on Alvin Street and its driver, Daniel Alexandro Ramos, exited the vehicle and walked into a residence through the rear door while disregard deputy commands. Deputies entered the residence and Mr. Ramos began to physically fight with officers before being subdued. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Assault/Family Violence-Deputies responded to FM1907u, where a female subject reported her husband had pushed her and slapped her. A search for the male subject was conducted throughout the area but came up empty. A report was filed.

Assault/Family Violence-Deputies arrested Ricardo Valdez, Jr. this morning after receiving reports of a possible disturbance on Buena Vista. Mr. Valdez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Lazaro Rodriguez was arrested after it was revealed he had an active warrant out of the Austin Parole Board. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-While patrolling FM1021 this evening, a deputy observed two male subjects running out of a convenience store carrying several cases of beer. After a short pursuit, the deputy was able to detain two of three male subjects involved. Alvaro Rodriguez and Jose Hernandez were taken into custody and the vehicle was towed by a local wrecker service.
