Maverick County Daily Reports-January 28, 2017

Motor Vehicle Accident-Units responded to Old Pioneer Road, where a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer had flipped over near the canal area. The vehicle had been left abandoned by unknown subject(s).

Hit and Run-A complainant on Albores Street reported a green Ford Taurus had struck his 2002 Ford Mustang while it was parked. The complainant further stated the Taurus had fled the scene but he was abler to locate the vehicle. A report was taken.

DWI-Deputies responded to a possible motor vehicle accident on Venesa Street. Upon arrival, a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe was found on the side of the road on top of the sidewalk. Contact was made with the driver who was found asleep.Jesus Rosales was woken up and immediately complained of a pain in his left arm. EMS crews were at the scene to transport Mr. Rosales to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further medical treatment. Deputies observed Mr. Rosales was highly intoxicated at the time of making contact. He is pending DWI charges.

Criminal Mischief-A resident reported unknown subject(s) had shattered the rear window to his 2004 Kia Sorrento.

Criminal Mischief-A complainant on the 1700 block of Old Pioneer Road reported unknown subject(s) had forced entry to his 2014 Ford F-150. No items were taken from the vehicle. The subjects also poured sugar into the gas tank of a 1998 Ford Expedition.

Theft-A County unit responded to the 1500 block of Encuentro this afternoon, where unknown subject(s) had taken several pieces of copper from his apartment complex. After further investigation, the items were recovered and taken into custody for investigation. This case is under investigation.

Hit and Run-A resident on the 200 block of Round Rock reported that unknown subject(s) had struck her 2015 Chevrolet Camaro.

Burglary of Habitation/Credit Card Abuse-A deputy responded to the 19000 block of FM1021, where a complainant reported unknown subject(s) gained entry to his residence and took three firearms. The subject(s) had also been using his credit card without consent.

Dog Bite-A complainant reported being bit by a dog on his left calf on Mariza Street while riding his bike.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz./Possession of Paraphernalia-A deputy was dispatched to the USBP Checkpoint on US Highway 57 this evening after agents detained a male subject in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Eric De La Garza was cited for the possession of paraphernalia and was placed under arrest for possessing under 2 oz. of marijuana. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
