Burglary of Building-An alarm activation had Units en route to Casino Grocery #1 this morning, whereupon arrival deputies found a side glass door shattered. Further investigation revealed unknown subject(s) entered the building and took several items without consent. The owner of the business was contact and arrived at the scene to survey the damage. This case was referred to the Criminal Investigations Division.
Theft-A complainant on the 100 block of Winchester reported unknown actor(s) took a Carrier 3 1/2 ton AC Unit without consent from a residence that he is in the process of selling. The unit was later found by the complainant on the 100 block of Chuckwagon Road, where the serial number found matched a bill of sale in the complainant's name. The unit was recovered and transported to the Sheriff's Office and tagged as evidence.
Recovered Stolen Property-A unit was dispatched to the international port of entry #2 this afternoon after a male subject declared a firearm at the port of entry that had previously been reported stolen out of Waller County. The firearm was transported to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office where it was tagged and placed for safekeeping.
