Maverick County Daily Reports-October 05, 2016

Possession of a Controlled Substance/Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Deputies made contact with a suspicious female subject off of the 1300 block of Tina This morning. The subject, identified as Breanna G. De La Garza, was seen throwing a clear plastic baggie containing marijuana. A search of Ms. De La Garza's belongings discovered a bag containing a white powdery substance. Both substances found tested positive for cocaine and marijuana. Ms. De La Garza was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of a Controlled Substance-Deputies on patrol in Siesta Acres made contact with a suspicious individual, identified as Rolando de Jesus Rodriguez. At the time of contact, deputies observed a clear plastic baggie containing a white powdery substance in Mr. Rodriguez's right hand. The substance would later test positive for cocaine. Mr. Rodriguez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-Ricardo Guizar Reyna was placed under arrest early this morning on public intoxication charges after he was found outside of an 18-wheeler that was in the middle of the street on Wagon Wheel Road. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Failure to Identify-Deputies on patrol responded to a call of two suspicious males in the area near Potro Park. A sweep of the neighborhood found one subject with a matching description, whereupon contact was made. The subject initially gave two different names before he was properly identified as Martin Manuel De Leon. Mr. De Leon was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to US Highway 277 North, where the driver of a Dodge pickup turning onto 277 from Rosa Street did not see a Ford F-250 and struck it from behind.

Motor Vehicle Accident-County units responded to FM1021 this afternoon, where a GMC pickup traveling on the wrong side of the road struck a police unit head on. Both drivers were transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room by ambulance for further medical treatment.

Fraud-A complainant reported unknown actor(s) have been utilizing her bank account without consent.
