Maverick County Daily Reports-October 17, 2016

Theft-A complainant reported a known male and female had moved out of a residence she had been leasing to them and took several items that did not belong to them.

Theft-A report was filed after a complainant reported an unknown  male had gone to his business and taken a trailer from the property without consent.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-A deputy responded to the US Border Patrol checkpoint on  US Highway 57, where agents had detained a male subject after a secondary inspection of a 2001 Dodge Dakota yielded the disocvery of a clear plastic baggie containing marijuana. Twenty-nine year old Everardo Reyes was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Units responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Loop 480 and FM1021 involving a Volkswagen sedan and a Caterpillar backhoe loader. Upon arrival, deputies observed right side damages to the sedan and damages sustained to the backhoe on its left side. The driver of the Volkswagen reported she had been traveling westbound on FM1021 approaching Loop 480 when she lost control of the wheel and struck the loader. All passengers refused medical attention at the time of the report.
