Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Burglary of Habitation-A deputy responded to the 700 block of Barbara Street in reference to a fight in progress. Upon arrival, contact was made with a male subject with a laceration to the back of his head. A second subject told deputies they had been involved in a physical altercation outside of the residence. Bother subjects were treated for their injuries at the scene and the case has since been taken over by the Criminal Investigations unit.
Motor Vehicle Accident-A Chrysler van traveling on US Highway 277 East this evening experienced a blow out, causing the emergency air bags to deploy. no occupants were injured in the accident. The vehicle was towed away by a local wrecker service.
Wanted Person-Deputies arrested Carlos Vasquez after a check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. Vasquez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
