Maverick County Daily Reports-October 14, 2016

DWI-A deputy patrolling North Veteran's Blvd. this morning  conducted   a traffic stop on a 2013 Hyundai after it was found swerving in and out of lanes. Upon making contact with the driver, a strong odor of alcohol was detected. The driver, Jesus Torres Ruiz, refused to take a field sobriety test at the time. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Alonzo Moreno was placed under arrest after being detained at the Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 when he was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Anna Delia Torres was placed under arrest at the international port of entry 2 this morning after a background check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. The warrant was confirmed and Ms. Torres was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Deputies responded to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint, where agents had detained a male subject  in possession of approximately ten marijuana cigarettes. Alexander Paul Moffitt was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-A traffic stop conducted near the intersection of Eidson Road and Memo Robinson Road yielded the discovery of the male driver being in possession of marijuana. The subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
