Maverick County Daily Reports-August 15, 2016

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to North Veteran's Blvd. this morning after Eagle Pass Police Department officers had detained a male subject with an active warrant out of Maverick County during a routine traffic stop. Jose A. Bernal Jr. was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Deceased Person-A deputy responded to the 200 block of Peach Street, where EMS crews at the scene stated a thirty-three year old female subject was found deceased in her living room. Family members advised the female had already been sick and was under hospice care at the time. Justice of the Peace Madera was arrived at the location and pronounced the female subject deceased.

Wanted Person-Juan Gabriel Aguilar was arrested this afternoon after a background check revealed two active warrants out of Maverick County. Mr. Aguilar was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-A traffic stop on Wagon Wheel Road this evening revealed the driver, Roberto Alcala, had an open warrant for his arrest. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Alcala was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Injured Person-Deputies responded to a hit and run on Las Quintas Blvd. this evening, where a female told officers she had been walking when an unknown dark-colored vehicle struck her in the legs and ran her over. The vehicle fled the scene and the victim was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room for further treatment.
