Wanted Person-Deputies arrested Erica Mendoza at the international port of entry 2 this morning after a check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Ms. Mendoza was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Reckless Driving/Public Intoxication-A county unit responded to Fresno Street after fielding reports of a reckless vehicle in the area. Upon arrival, officers observed a Pontiac G6 traveling recklessly at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, twenty five year old Pablo Vargas, was placed under arrest. His passenger, Santiago Cordova, was found in an intoxicated state and was taken into custody when an open container was found inside the vehicle. The two were then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. The vehicle was towed by a local wrecker service.
