Maverick County Daily Reports-July 21, 2016

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-A deputy responded to a residence on Memorial Drive this morning, where complainants reported the presence of an unwanted subject. Upon arrival, the subject, identified as Jose A. Valenzuela, Jr, was found to be aggressive towards family members. Valenzuela was temporarily detained, and upon a pat down search, had a green leafy substance in his possession. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Hit and Run-A complainant on Sahara Drive reported that an unknown vehicle had struck her 2015  Hyundai Sonata while stationary. Damages were caused to the rear right quarter panel area.

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to the international port of entry number 2 this afternoon after CBP agents had detained a female subject whose background check revealed an active warrant. Valeria Margarita Velasquez was placed under arrest after the warrant was confirmed. She was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Mark Anthony Salinas was placed under arrest when a TCIC/NCIC check confirmed an active warrant out of the Austin Police Department. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
