Maverick County Daily Reports-July 19, 2016

Dog Bite-A female complainant reported she had been walking through an alleyway in Siesta Acres when she wad attacked by three dogs who had bit both legs. EMS crews were summoned to the scene and transported the female subject to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further treatment.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Deputies on patrol conducted a traffic stop on Old Pioneer Road this afternoon. Upon making contact with the driver, Jose Angel Cazarez, Jr., a strong odor of marijuana was found emitting from the vehicles. Deputies also notices a plastic baggie containing characteristics of marijuana was observed in plain sight. Mr. Cazarez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A complainant on the 400 block of Ranchitos Road reported a known male subject had taken several items belonging to him without his consent.

Wanted Person-Units responded to Academy Sporting Goods, where City of Eagle Pass Police officers had detained a female subject with an active warrant out of Maverick County. Deputies placed Vanessa Rodriguez under arrest after the warrant was confirmed and transported her to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-Deputies on patrol this evening were dispatched to the Family Dollar location on FM1021 after fielding calls of a fight in progress. Upon arrival at the locale, officers witnessed a male subject identified as Pablo Franco Rodriguez laying on the ground with several blood stains on his pants. Mr. Rodriguez was found to be highly intoxicated at the time of contact and was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
