Maverick County Daily Reports-July 14, 2016

Dog Bite-A complainant on Reindeer reported he had been jogging when he was bit on the left side of his calf by a dog. A report was filed.

Motor Vehicle Accident/Driving While Intoxicated-Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on Old Pioneer Road this morning. Up arrival at the scene, deputies observed a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox with extensive damages throughout the entire vehicle. Contact was made with two male subjects at the scene who displayed signs of intoxication. EMS crews were summoned to the scene, who transported to the subjects to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further treatment. Further investigations revealed the Equinox had been traveling northbound on Pioneer Road where the driver lost control and hit two concrete pillars, causing the vehicle to flip over.
This case remains under investigation.

Identity Theft-A complainant on Wagon Wheel Road reported an unknown female subject had been using his social security number without his consent. A report was taken.

Hit and Run-A reporting person stated  that a Dodge Durango struck her Chevrolet Malibu on the rear left quarter panel, leaving damages. The driver left the scene of the accident. Units were able to make contact with the driver of the Durango, identified as Christian Corpus. Corpus was placed under arrest by City of Eagle Pass Police Department officers after it was determined he had an outstanding warrant.
