Maverick County Daily Reports-June 23, 2016

Public Intoxication-A deputy responded to the international Port of Entry #2 this morning after CBP agents detained a male subject attempting to enter the United States. Arnulfo Vela Gonzalez was placed under arrest after he was found in an intoxicated state. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Recovered Narcotics-Deputies on patrol this morning responded to a possible burglary of habitation in progress on Remington Road. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female subject who gave consent to search the residence. A small amount of a green leafy substance with marijuana characteristics was found along with a several items that had been reported as stolen. The property wad taken into custody and the case is under investigation.

Reckless Driving-Deputies arrested the driver of an eighteen wheeler this afternoon after receiving reports of its reckless driving on US Highway 277 North earlier. Thirty-five year old Jodha Singh was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Diego Dominguez, Jr. was arrested at the international Port of Entry #2 after a check revealed an active warrant. Deputies confirmed the warrant and Dominguez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Vehicle-A resident in Las Brisas reported a man dressed in black ransacked his vehicle and attempted to enter his residence without consent. The male subject fled the area prior to a unit's arrival.

Burglary of Habitation-A complainant on Tesoro Loop stated unknown actor(s) entered her residence through a rear window and took a television set without her consent. Two subjects were later detained for investigative purposes.
