Maverick County Daily Reports-June 22, 2016

Hit and Run-A female complainant at the Maverick County Lake reported she had been exercising at the lake this morning when she returned to her Nissan Pathfinder and found it had been struck by an unknown vehicle.

Deceased Person-Deputies responded to Cassles Street this morning, where a home health care provider had arrived at a residence and found a male subject on the couch unresponsive. The provider stated the male subject had been dealing with several health issues.

Wanted Person-Juan Roberto Mendoza was placed under arrest at the Maverick County Adult Probation Department after it was revealed Mr. Mendoza had an outstanding warrant on motion to revoke charges. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle-A TCIC/NCIC check on a 2015 Ford Explorer came out as stolen from the Houston Police Department. The vehicle was recovered and taken to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office for further investigation.

Possession of Dangerous Drugs/Resisting Arrest/Evading Arrest-A unit patrolling Remington Street, where a rash of recent burglaries had been reported, made contact with a suspicious male subject in the area. Nineteen year old Jonathan Hernandez became in-compliant towards deputy requests and evaded the scene. He was apprehended shortly thereafter and resisted arrest.Mr. Hernandez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. A search of the area found a gym bag containing two pills identified as Xanax bars.
