Maverick County Daily Reports-May 25, 2016

Possession Of Marijuana under 2 oz. -Deputies responded to the United States Border Patrol Checkpoint on US Highway 57 after a secondary inspection of a 2013 Dodge Charger found a cigarette containing a green leafy substance with characteristics of marijuana. Jose Manuel Villa was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Building-A complainant on US Highway 277 East reported unknown subject(s) had gained entry into a shed on his property without consent and took water and food.

Burglary of a Vehicle-A deputy met with a complainant this morning, who reported unknown subject(s) had entered his unlocked vehicle and took his wallet, containing his identification, social security card, and bank debit card.

Aggravated Assault/Family Violence-A female subject reported to deputies her ex-husband had assaulted her with a knife. The case was turned over the Criminal Investigations Division.

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to the 1200 block of Del Rio Blvd, where Probation officers had detained a male subject with an active warrant out of Zavala County . Pablo Gomez Rodriguez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A deputy met with United States Border Patrol agents after unknown subject(s) had made off with a game camera located by the river vega. The camera had an estimated worth of approximately $800.00 dollars.

Wanted Person -Ulisses Chavez was taken into custody this afternoon after a background check at the international Port of Entry #1 revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Chavez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
