Maverick County Daily Reports-April 2, 2016

Injured Person-Deputies responded to Molina Loop after a male subject fell off  the back of an ATV. The subject complained of neck and back pain and was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further treatment.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-A deputy patrolling US 277 North conducted a traffic stop on a Ford F-150 pickup this afternoon, where upon contact with the driver, noticed a strong odor of marijuana emitting from inside the truck. A search of the vehicle was performed and a smoking pipe was located inside the center console. A male juvenile was issued a citation and the vehicle was released to his father, who arrived at the location.

Aggravated Assault-Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Darrell Street in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, contact was made with a male subject with apparent injures to the facial area, who stated he was involved in a physical altercation with a male who fled the scene. Officers later made contact with the second Subject by Casino Grocery, who reported the injured subject had displayed a knife and was looking to use it against him. Further investigation led to the arrest of Antonio Martinez, who was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
