Maverick County Daily Reports-February 04, 2016

Family Violence/Assault-A complainant on the 300 block of Dub reportd her common law husband had assaulted her. The male subject had fled the area in an unknown direction prior to units arriving at the scene.

Driving while Intoxicated/Wanted Person-A unit patrolling FM1021 this morning conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Ram pickup for a violation. The driver, Diego Leonard Neira Hernandez, displayed bloodshot eyes and a slurred speech as well as a strong alcoholic odor emitting from his person. A check on Mr. Hernandez also revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Luis Jimenez was arrested early this morning after a background check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-An officer was dispatched to the Sheriff's Lobby this afternoon, where contact was made with a wanted subject. A background check on Leonardo Guardiola revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County on a parole violation charge. Mr. Guardiola was taken into custody and escorted to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to the intersection of FM1021 and Rosita Valley Road, where a trash truck and a Ford Crown Victoria were involved in a motor vehicle accident. Contact was made with the drivers of the vehicles, who both refused medical attention.

Information Report-Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 277 North after reports of a rollover tractor trailer were received. Upon arrival, contact was made with the driver who stated his flatbed trailer had begun to fishtail, causing him to lose control. The occupants of the vehicle refused medical attention. The Texas Department of Public Safety was at the scene of the accident and has taken over the investigation.

Public Intoxication-A deputy responded to Las Hacienditas late this afternoon in reference to a possibly intoxicated male in the area. Upon arrival, contact was made with a male subject found sleeping in a brush area. Arturo Alonzo Garza was found in a highly intoxicated state and was placed under arrest on public intoxication charges.
