Maverick County Daily Reports-January 06, 2016

Wanted Person-Deputies patrolling US Highway 277 conducted a traffic stop on a 2014 Nissan 4 door for a minor traffic infraction this morning. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Felix Lopez, whose background check revealed an outstanding warrant out of Hidalgo County. Mr. Lopez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-A county unit responded to South Veteran's Blvd. where Eagle Pass Police Department officers detained a male subject with an active warrant out of Maverick County. The warrant on Jose Luis Gardea,  Jr. was confirmed and Mr. Gardea was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A complainant on Remington Street reported her pet dog had been stolen from her residence while she was out of town.

Theft-Deputies responded to the 200 block of Wildwood after a complainant reported unknown subjects had taken an air compressor from his front yard valued at approximately $375.00

Disorderly Conduct-Deputies were dispatched to the 3200 block of Yucca Loop after receiving reports of an out of control male subject. Upon arrival, deputies found the male subject to be highly intoxicated and using vulgar language towards family members. Forty-seven year old Oscar Cavazos was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
