Maverick County Daily Reports-December 03, 2015

Wanted Person-A deputy patrolling South Veteran's Blvd. this morning observed a female subject with an outstanding warrant for her arrest on aggravated assault charges. Angelic Christine Martinez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Criminal Mischief-A complainant on Lindbergh Circle reported possible known subject(s) had caused damaged to her 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

Wanted Person-A deputy met with a male subject identified as Armando Zapata Hernandez, who requested to present himself because of an active warrant. The warrant out of Crocket County was confirmed and Mr. Hernandez was escorted to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Animal Bite-A deputy met with a reporting person at United Medical Center who reported her four year old daughter had been bitten by a horse while attempting to feed it. The child sustained several small cuts to her middle finger and was treated at UMC. Road and Bridge and the County Tick Rider were notified to make arrangements to have the horse picked up for observation.

Recovered Stolen Property-Deputies recovered several stolen items from an address on the 1600 block of Baltica this afternoon. Among the items recovered was a gas lawn mower and a pink bicycle.

Burglary of Vehicle-A complainant on Fourth Street reported unknown subject(s) had entered her vehicle without her consent.

Wanted Person-A deputy was dispatched to the international Port of Entry #1 after CBP agents detained sixty-five year old Roberto Garcia when it was revealed he had an active warrant. The warrant on Mr. Garcia was confirmed as well as that of a second subject identified as Jose Ramon Moreno. Both males were taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Minor Motor Vehicle Accident-County units responded to the intersection of Elk and Reindeer after a county truck struck a parked Nissan while reversing out of an alleyway.

Minor Motor Vehicle Accident- A 2001 Odyssey rear ended a 2015 Black Dodge Durango at the intersection of Memo Robinson Road and El Indio Highway this afternoon. Both parties involved in the accident refused medical attention at the scene.

 Assault-A complainant reported to deputies she was at a dance by the Moonlight Ballroom when she was assaulted by a known female.

Identity Theft-A complainant on Park Street stated an unknown subject had used her personal information to take out a money loan.

Dog Bite-A reporting person on the 1000 block of Wildwood reported a dog biting her juvenile daughter on the right calf. The juvenile was taken to the emergency room for treatment.
