Deputies responded to Loop 480 South in reference to an apparent motor vehicle accident this afternoon. At approximately 2:30 PM, units responded to the scene and found a male subject, later identified as twenty-one year old Erik Alejandro Martinez, standing next to a wrecked GMC Terrain. Mr. Martinez stated he had fallen asleep behind the wheel and collided into the barrier.
Upon inspection of the vehicle, deputies found seven 10 gram bags of synthetic marijuana. Mr Martinez, who had refused medical attention at the scene, was then taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
