Maverick County Daily Reports-November 16, 2015

Wanted Person-A male subject was detained at Maverick County Adult Probation Department after he was found to have an active warrant. Deputies confirmed the open warrant for Ramon Abelardo Salinas out of Maverick County. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A complainant on Cedro Street reported that unknown subject(s) had taken his bicycle that was left outside of his residence.

Damage to Property-A deputy responded to US Highway 277 North, where a 2015 Tractor Trailer collided into a guardrail, causing damages.

Information Report-Deputies assisted United States Border Patrol agents this evening, after a chase ensued in the southern Sector of Maverick County. The agencies, in pursuit of a SUV, lost visual of the vehicle. A concerned citizen later contacted the Maverick County Sheriff's Office and reported a vehicle matching the description by Ranchitos Road. The vehicle would later be found on a vacant lot, and upon searching the vehicle, feed sacks containing marijuana were found. This case is under investigation.

Resisting Arrest-A county unit was dispatched to Sueno Circle after an unwanted male was attempting to enter a property. Upon the unit's arrival, the male subject attempted to flee the area but was later found in an alleyway behind Siesta Carwash. Deputies made contact with the individual, later identified as Luis Alberto Lujan. Mr. Lujan began to resist when an attempt to detain him was made. He would be placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
