Maverick County Daily Reports-October 26, 2015

Motor Vehicle Accident/Public Intoxication/Reckless Driving-A deputy patrolling Veteran's Blvd. this morning observed a reckless driver near the intersection of Veteran's and Second Street. The deputy then noticed the vehicle had come to a complete stop at the corner of Main Street and Veteran's Blvd, inside of TxDOT parking lot. Upon unit's arrival, damage was found on the left front quarter panel of a 2005 BMW. The driver, nineteen year old Arturo Esequiel Tovizon, stated he lost control of the vehicle while failing to control his speed, causing the vehicle to skid and strike the sidewalk. Mr. Tovizon displayed unstable balance, a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his person, a slurred speech, and bloodshot eyes while communicating. He Was placed under arrest for public intoxication and reckless driving. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. His male passenger was released.

Wanted Person-A county unit responded to Rosita Valley Road this afternoon, after Tribal Police detained a male subject with an active warrant. Upon arrival, deputies confirmed the open warrant out of Maverick County on Randy Elizondo. Mr. Elizondo was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
