Maverick County Daily Reports-October 27, 2015

Located Runaway-A deputy patrolling Eidson Road this morning made contact with a suspicious male subject walking on the roadway. Contact was made, and upon further investigation, it was revealed that the sbject had been reported as a juvenile runaway. He would be transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center where he was later released to the custody of his parents.

Theft-A complainant on Eidson Road reported to Sheriff's deputies that an unknown person(s) had stolen her racing horse from her backyard. The complainant stated the horse is valued at $2,000.00

Theft-A county unit responded to the 2100 block of Calle Nicolas after a male complainant stated that a known male subject had taken two toolboxes from his property without his consent. The complainant chose not to file charges at this time.

Wanted Person-Deputies made contact with the Maverick County Adult Probation Department, where a male subject with an active warrant was detained. Austin Rivera was arrested when an outstanding warrant on Burglary of building charges was confirmed. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A deputy was dispatched to the 700 block of Wagon Wheel Road, where a female complainant advised that an unknown subject(s) had taken her pitbull puppy from her backyard without her consent.

Wanted Person-A deputy patrolling Seco Mines this afternoon conducted a traffic stop on a 2003 Ford Explorer on a minor traffic violation. A further investigation on the vehicle's occupants revealed two active warrants out of the Maverick County Sheriff's Office. Arrested were Juan Daniel Zamarripa and Ivan Gerardo Lopez. The two were then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Building-Units responded to Classic Auto Sales after a complainant reported that unknown subject(s) had entered the business and took several items without his consent.

Located Runaway-A female juvenile attempting to enter the United States via the international Port of Entry was detained after a background check revealed she had been reported as a runaway. Deputies confirmed the the background check and the juvenile was then released to the custody of her mother.
