Maverick County Daily Reports-October 21, 2015

Public Intoxication-A deputy patrolling Eidson Road this morning encountered a male subject walking in the middle of the roadway. Contact was made with the Mario Alberto Gonzalez, who displayed unstable movements, slurred speech, and some type of alcoholic beverage emitting from his person. Mr. Gonzalez was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Deceased Person-Deputies were dispatched to the 2600 block of Cenizo, where upon arrival, made contact with EMS crews on scene. EMS crews reported a known elderly female had passed away outside of the residence. Justice of the Peace Melendrez was on hand to pronounce the female deceased at 10:45 AM.

Family Violence Report-A complainant on the 100 block of Ibarra Street reported she was involved in a physical altercation with her boyfriend.

Information-A deputy responded to US Highway 277 East by mile marker 618, where an 18 wheeler was involved in accident. Upon arrival, the deputy witnessed extensive damage to the semi tractor trailer. EMS crews were summoned to the scene, where the jaws of life were needed to extract the driver, identified as Alfredo Garcia. Mr. Garcia was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center Emergency Room for medical treatment. The Texas Department of Public Safety arrived at the location and has since taken over the investigation.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies were dispatched to FM1021 this afternoon, where a 2010 Chrysler 300 attempting to make a left turn was struck from behind by a 2003 Ford Expedition traveling westbound on FM1021.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to FM2030 after a the driver of Dodge Durango placed her vehicle in reverse and struck a 1995 black Ford Mustang traveling westbound.
