Maverick County Daily Reports-October 10, 2015

Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle-Deputies were dispatched to the Seco Mines area in reference to a reckless dirt bike in the area. A search of the area yielded a lime in color dirt bike traveling at a high rate of speed near the Tina and Juanita Street area. Emergency lights were activated, however, the vehicle refused to stop and a pursuit was initiated. After following for several blocks, the bike stopped and its driver, Jaime Ulises Diaz, was apprehended and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responding to a 911 call near the intersection of FM 1021 and Sunrise came upon a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers oberserved a 2011 silver Chevrolet Silverado with rear end damages and a 2012 white Chevrolet Silverado with front end damages. Both parties were transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further treatment. The Texas Department of Public Safety arrived at the scene and has since taken over the investigation.

Possession of Marijuana over 4 oz. under 5 lbs.-Deputies who initially responded to a fight in progress at a residence in La Herradura Subdivision detected a strong odor of marijuana when speaking to the homeowner. Consent was given to search the residence, where a black backpack containing twenty-nine individually wrapped baggies containing marijuana was found inside the residence. Deputies arrested eighteen year old Joey DeJesus. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
