Maverick County Daily Reports-September 23, 2015

Hit and Run-County units responded to Rosita Valley Road after a complainant advised that while turning right onto CR 253 from Rosita Valley Road, a white vehicle struck him from behind. He further stated that by the time he pulled to the side of the road, the other vehicle had left the scene in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported at the scene.

Deceased Person-A deputy responded to calls of a deceased person this morning, in Quemado, Texas. Upon arrival, the officer was informed by hospice care staff that the elderly female had passed from natural causes.



Wanted Person-A male subject was arrested at the Maverick County Adult Probation Department, where it was revealed he had an active warrant. Deputies arrested Armando Espinoza on an outstanding probation violation charge out of Maverick County. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Information Report-Units responded to the intersection of Progreso and Potro after a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado was found engulfed in flames. Contact was made with the driver of the vehicle, who said the truck began over heating and later caught fire. The driver was uninjured at the time of the report.

Terroristic Threats Report-A complainant on the 800 block of Frente told deputies a known male subject had threatened his life. The male aggressor had fled the area in an unknown direction.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested Celso Rivas Rodriguez at the international Port of Entry #2 this afternoon, when a background check revealed an active warrant out of San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Rodriguez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
