Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber is part of a small delegation of Maverick County officials attending the Texas Association of Counties Legislative Conference in Austin, Texas this week. The group joins representatives from the 254 counties around the state to discuss the pertinent issues affecting counties, ranging from border security to legislative changes.
