Maverick County Daily Reports-August 02, 2015

DWI/DWLI-A traffic stop for a minor infraction near the intersection of US Highway 277 North and Dr. Gates Drive revealed the driver of a 2001 Dodge pickup truck was intoxicated and not in the capacity to operate a motor vehicle. Juan Jesus Trevino was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. Mr. Trevino was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance, as well as operating a vehicle with an invalid license.

Criminal Mischief-A female complainant on Angie Street told officers a known male subject had broken the front windshield to her 2002 Pontiac Grand Am G6.

Burglary of Habitation-A complainant on the 700 block of Progresso told deputies an unknown subject had gained entry through the front door of the residence and took several items without consent.

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle-A resident on Buena Vista told deputies an unknown person had taken her 2015 white Chrysler 200 without her consent. An hour later, deputies responded to an address in Las Quintas where the vehicle had been located. The vehicle was impounded and transported to the Sheriff's Office.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Units responded to FM 1021 where a 1997 white Buick and a 2007 silver Chrysler were involved in a motor vehicle accident at approximately 10:40 AM this morning. The driver of the Buick was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room for treatment.

Information Report-Units were dispatched to the 1500 block of Eidson road at approximately 4:05 this afternoon, where a structural fire was reported. Upon unit's arrival, deputies witnessed smoke emanating from the residence. All occupants had already evacuated the home prior to the unit's arrival and an elderly female was transported to the Emergency Room due to smoke inhalation. Eagle Pass Fire Department crews were on the scene and safely extinguished the fire. The homeowner reported the fire starting at the power outlet for an air conditioner window unit.

Evading Arrest-A deputy patrolling the Seco Mines subdivison noticed a black Tahoe disregard a stop sign at the intersection of Rivera Drive and Tina Drive. The deputy made a turn around and was able to gain a visual of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle had, by that time, fled on foot into a property on Minerva Street. The deputy was able to catch up to the male subject, where he was arrested and charged with evading arrest.

Burglary of Habitation-A resident on the 300 block of Molina Loop reported that unknown subjects had entered her residence when she was not home and took several items without her consent.
