Maverick County Daily Reports-July 11, 2015

Public Intoxication-A complainant on Linares Drive told deputies an unknown male subject was on his property. Units arrived at the location and made contact with thirty-one year old Juan Vasquez Beltran, who was found to have slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, unstable movements, and an alcohol odor emitting from his person. For his safety and the safety of others, Mr. Vasquez was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of Marijuana-A traffic stop on Barbara Street yielded the discovery of a subject in possession of marijuana this morning. At approximately 2:28 AM, county unit conducted a traffic stop on a 2013 blue Mitsubishi Lancer. Further investigation  revealed that the driver, identified as Rogelio Roque, was in possession of a green medicine bottle containing a green leafy substance. Mr. Roque was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center.

Public Intoxication-Deputies patrolling Veteran's Boulevard conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to maintain a single lane. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Juan Jose Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez had a slurred speech and an alcoholic odor emitting from his person. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident by the intersection of Rosita Valley Road and Rosita Gardens this afternoon, near 5:10 PM. Units at the scene observed a 2006 grey Ford Crown Victoria with front damages and a second vehicle, described as a 2003 gold Ford F-150 with right side damages. The driver of the F-150 was airlifted to San Antonio, Texas via AirEvac. The second driver was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further treatment.



Public Intoxication-County units made their way to the Moonlight Dance Hall, where a complainant stated a male subject had caused a disturbance. Deputies made contact with Orlando Mendoza, who was found to have bloodshot eyes, unstable balance, a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his person. Mr. Mendoza was arrested for Public Intoxication and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.
