Through the collaborative efforts of several United States and Mexican law enforcement entities, the Maverick County Sheriff's Office detained a male subject listed on a top 10 most wanted list Tuesday afternoon. Juan Jimenez, a twenty-two year old fugitive who appeared on The Nueces County most wanted list on charges stemming from assault, was turned over to county officials after having been apprehended in Mexico.
Sheriff Tom Schmerber wishes to thank those agencies involved in the process of bringing Mr. Jimenez to justice and remains committed to working together cohesively to improve the safety and well being of the communities in this border region.
