Deputies were led on a brief pursuit through the Chula Vista sector of Maverick County early Tuesday morning. At approximately 12:28 AM, units responded to calls of a red Chrysler C300 leaving the scene of an accident that caused damage to property by the intersection of Candelario Montalvo Jr. Drive and Mesquite Street. Deputies spotted the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the vehicle failed to yield. The driver was eventually apprehended by the 300 block of Alamo street after a brief chase. Forty-eight year old Luis Alberto Hernandez Trevino was arrested and charged with the following counts:
-Evading Arrest/Dentention with a Motor Vehicle
-Driving While Intoxicated
-Duty on a Striking Fixture(Leaving the Scene of an Accident)
-Resisting Arrest/Detention
Mr. Trevino was taken into custody and was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
