County units were dispatched to Blue Sky Road near the 9:30 PM hour Sunday evening in reference to a pickup truck that had fallen into a canal. Deputies arrived at the locale off of FM 2030 in Chula Vista and made contact with the driver and passenger of the vehicle, identified as Jonathon and Brandon Velez. Mr. Velez told deputies he was attempting to cross the wooden bridge when he lost traction and caused his truck to tip over and fall into the canal. Both the driver and passenger refused medical attention.
