Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-November 05, 2014
Calls of a possible fire led deputies to Chula Vista early Wednesday morning. At approximately 1:32 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Ranchitos Road, wherea 2003 Honda SUV and the front porch area of a residence were engulfed in flames. Contact was made with a male subject who stated his family was still sleeping inside the home. Deputies were able to gain entrance into the home and escorted the family to a secure location. The Eagle Pass Fire Department was also at the scene and took over the investigation.
