Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-October 15, 2014


The Maverick County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 emergency call Wednesday morning, in regards to a motor vehicle accident with a fixed object. Deputies arrived to the 400 block of High Noon Street  at approximately 9:20 AM to find an Eagle Pass ISD school bus halfway inside a property. After further investigation, the driver of the bus stated he may have possibly lost focus while traveling westbound on High Noon Street. The school bus was carrying nineteen students and  was en route to Rosita Valley Literacy Academy when the incident occurred. The driver and the students were checked on by EMS crews at the scene and all passengers refused further medical attention or transport.
