Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber and the employees at the Maverick County Sheriff's Office came together to assist a local family in need this week. The Telles family, pictured above, suffered a total loss after their mobile home caught fire, along with all their belongings. Sheriff's office staff gathered funds to assist the family and made contact with local businesses who could help. HEB, Walmart, and the Shoe Department donated gift cards and clothing to help the family. Pictured above with the Telles family are Chief Deputy Rick Fuentes and Lt. Roberto De Leon.
