Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 277 East after receiving reports of a rollover accident Wednesday July 9th, shortly before 12:20 AM. Deputies arrived to find twenty-Six Year old Josephine Garcia and a male juvenile were by the side of the road at the intersection of US Highway 277 E and Loop 480. Ms. Garcia, identified as the driver, stated that the two were en route back to Carrizo Springs, Texas when a black pickup disregarded to the stop sign at the northbound ramp off of Loop 480. Ms. Garcia veered left, causing her to lose control of a 2001 red Saturn, and driving into a storm drain. Both Ms. Garcia and the juvenile passenger refused medical attention at the time of the incident.
