Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-Sheriff's deputies responded to a construction site on Rosita Valley Road, minutes after 10 AM on Saturday, July 12, after receiving calls of a trapped individual. Deputies arrived at 2192 Rosita Valley Road and made contact with a male subject who stated that he was holding a pallet of glass window panes when a gust of wind caused him to lose his balance and fall to the ground. The approximately 1,529.8 pound pallet fell on top of the male subject, pinning him from his belt waist to his legs. Co-workers assisted in removing the male from underneath the pallet and EMS crews called on air support for assistance. The male subject was then air lifted to a San Antonio, Texas hospital.
