Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-Sheriff's deputies responded to a residence on Christian Street in the Loma Bonita sector of Maverick County at approximately 3:42 AM Saturday morning after having received a call of a burglary of habitation in progress. A resident called to report that a male subject, later identified as Alejandro Ruiz, Jr., had gained entry into her home through a window. While deputies where en route to the location, the caller advised dispatch that Mr. Ruiz had grabbed her car keys and fled the scene in her vehicle. Eagle Pass Police Department assisted in locating the stolen vehicle by Bryan Street and deputies managed to find Mr. Ruiz behind a residence. Mr. Ruiz was placed under arrest and was later revealed to have had an outstanding warrant out of Maverick County. This case is pending investigation.
