A Public Service Announcement from the City of Eagle Pass

The City of Eagle Pass Public Works Department will start the reconstruction of Guedea Parks walking trail and parking lot on May 12, 2014. During the process, no through traffic will be allowed. Barricades will be set up during the reconstruction to control traffic flow.

During reconstruction, there will be heavy equipment, dust, and noise in and around the construction area. We recommend that cars not drive over the reconstruction, unless necessary, and if so, to drive slowly over the overlay. We ask for your cooperation in obeying all traffic signs, including flagmen assigned to the area. No parking will be allowed on the right of way during construction. If vehicles remain in the right of way during construction, a wrecker service will be utilized at the owner's expense. Sprinkers will not be allowed to be left overnight during the period of construction. Failure to abide will lead to a citation to municipal court.

It is the intention of the Public Works Department to finish the construction as quickly as possible but there may be unforeseeable delays due to the actual condition of in place materials. Cooperation from all residents will enhance the construction.

If you need additional information or have any questions, please call our office at 830-773-9408.
