Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-On Thursday April 24, 2014 at approximately 12:58 AM, United States Custom and Border Protection supervisors requested assistance from sheriff's deputies by Port of Entry #2 in reference to a large group of undocumented immigrants by their location. Upon arrival, sheriff deputies, alongside Eagle Pass Police Department officers, assisted CBP with the handling of the undocumented immigrants, consisting of approximately seventy Honduran women and children. Customs and Border Protection took over custody of the undocumented immigrants.
