Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-Maverick County Sheriff's units responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Sunday March 16, 2014. Deputies arrived to the 700 block of Morning Star Drive near 6:48 and made contact with the driver of a gray Ford F-150, identified as Lilian Trevino. Ms. Trevino stated she was driving the vehicle when she felt something hit her driver side door. She then heard a child cry and a man's voice asking her to stop. A three-year old boy was retrieved by his father from underneath the Ford F-150 and the child was taken by his parents to Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center, where he received one staple to the back of his head. This accident remains under investigation.
