Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-On Tuesday March 25, 2014, at approximately 10:03 P.M., sheriff's deputies responded to a single motor vehicle accident on Highway 277 East. Deputies arrived to find a black 1990 Toyota 4Runner on its side off of the highway, the victim of an apparent rollover. The driver, identified as Omar Hernandez-Castro, stated he was traveling westbound en route to Eagle Pass, Texas when his left rear tire came off from the axle, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. Eagle Pass EMS personnel were summoned to the scene of the accident but the driver refused medical treatment.
